"Lighthouse” Abstract Painting by TRAXI Selected for the Curated International Exhibition “From Darkness to Light", People &Paintings Gallery

Toward the Light is the path every living being is destined to walk, and for humans, this journey is especially profound. It begins with a life bound by primal and instinctive impulses and, through experience after experience, lifetime after lifetime, moves toward an awakening.
It is a gradual ascent to self-awareness, to the recognition of our higher nature, and to an understanding of the Universe, a state many call enlightenment.

I am honored to share that my artwork “Lighthouse” has been selected by the jury for the curated international exhibition From Darkness to Light by People & Paintings Art Gallery, New York  curated by Claudio Giulianelli.

The exhibition explores one of humanity’s deepest journeys — the path from instinct and unconscious existence toward awareness, inner awakening, and light.

As described by the curatorial concept, this movement toward the Light represents the gradual ascent of human consciousness — a journey toward self-knowledge, transformation, and what many traditions describe as enlightenment.

For this exhibition, I chose my artwork “Lighthouse” because its message deeply resonates with the theme of inner guidance and spiritual direction.

This painting was created as part of my art project “Turning Point” (2024), a project dedicated to transformation, hope, and the moments in life when light reveals the way forward.

The project concluded with a charitable donation supporting the protection of the Eurasian Pygmy Owl — an endangered bird species in Bulgaria. Through this initiative, ornithologists were able to build nesting houses for young owls, contributing to their preservation and future survival.

For me, this artwork carries a deeply symbolic meaning:

Light is powerful and inviting.
Where the Light exists, there is our harbor.
Let the Light guide us so we may find our way home.
Find the Light — and follow it.

“Lighthouse” is a visual metaphor for those moments when even the smallest light becomes direction, hope, and inner certainty.

Being selected for this curated exhibition is especially meaningful because it represents recognition not only of the artwork itself, but also of the message and intention behind it.
